​Ten acres of sweet, yellow tropical fruit called Carambola (also known as star fruit) dot the landscape of this farm.  Even though this is the only crop this farm grows, the multiple uses this fruit is processed for is impressive.  Locally, it is used to make wine.  The best kept secret though is that star fruit is one of nature’s best natural electrolytes! Green star fruit tend to be more tart and the yellow/orange are sweet. In some countries, star fruit is considered a medicinal fruit.
